Confirmation Grades 5-6

Year One: “Prayer Camp”
During the last full week of July, in the setting of Vacation Bible School, youth who will be entering grades 6-7 in the fall work at getting a prayer attitude. Youth learn about prayer by practicing praying. They design a prayer pillowcase. They also visit an elderly person, praying with them and sharing a gift.

Year Two: “Creed Camp”
Credo is Latin for “I Believe”. During the last full week of July, in the setting of Vacation Bible School, youth who will be entering grades 6-7 in the fall learn about the importance of having creeds in daily life. “What do I believe and why?” Through games, crafts, songs, a scavenger hunt, Bible studies and Christ-centered fun, youth will learn about the Creeds of the Church, and what it means to be a confessing Christian.
